House Churches

One of our main expressions for CONNECTING will be through our House Churches beginning in May of 2025. To learn more about what House Churches are and the heart behind the transition from Community Groups to this mid-week model, please see below.

Why are we making this transition?

We see Jesus teaching the masses AND gathering in homes with His disciples, friends and closest followers. Paul instructed Titus to do similar things: appoint Elders, teach sound doctrine, make disciples and set an example by doing good. A Church of House Churches strives to align with these pillars in the early church that are modeled by Jesus.

By meeting regularly in a House Church with other members from our larger body at Trellis Church, you will grow in intimacy with one another, be transformed spiritually by Jesus through the efforts of the House Church Servant Leader & fellow members and be equipped to make disciples among those around you.

What is a house church?

A House Church is a group of people within the larger Church body, led by a Servant Leader, who gather in a home together to break bread, worship, pray, study the bible, fellowship, and more. The breakdown of time spent in each area will fluctuate based on the needs of the group felt by their Servant Leader.
The regular rhythms for a House Church will be to meet the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks of each month. The 1st week of the month you are invited to join the larger body for a Worship & Prayer night at the Trellis Church building. July & December are scheduled breaks from gatherings.

How can I get involved?

Our aim is to make getting involved a simple and easy process, so that you feel welcomed from your first visit. The first step would be to click on the button, "Join a House Church." From there you will be prompted to answer a few questions that will help connect you with the leader of a House Church near you. If you have more questions, please click on the button to get connected with a pastor.
