We are a community that is centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and all that he taught. While we have thoughts and perspectives on the appropriate interpretation and application of specific passages in Scripture and theology as a whole, we intentionally choose to focus on the foundational tenants of the Christian faith rather than argue about secondary or tertiary issues. Therefore, it is appropriate to say that we support foundational statements of Christianity as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed.  

We believe Jesus when he told his disciples, “It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you” (John 16:7, ESV). While we often acknowledge it would feel easier if Jesus were walking with us today, we trust in His wisdom and therefore acknowledge the real and helpful presence of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in those who surrender their lives to Jesus as Savior and Lord.
